The Ready-Set-School Fair is a community event sponsored by the School Readiness Collaborative in the Spring. The main purpose is to provide information about programs and services available to families with young children in the Vernon area. It also includes free entertainment, music, and giveaways for children.

The fair provides a chance for families to meet local leaders, meet agency representatives, and visit with firefighters.


Usually included is the CTCHIP Child Identification Program, which includes an ID photograph, video, fingerprint, and dental impression for any child 18 and under.

Also at the fair, Vernon Public Schools offer kindergarten registration.
